Scott Moy:
Pure Enjoyment

Scott came to me about a year ago looking to fix some minor body mechanics issues. He also wanted to get more out of his workouts. Like many of us, he hit a wall where his knowledge of movement and results collided. Biking as a major mode of transportation and the random game of Tennis kept him in decent shape. They also resulted in some muscle imbalances causing pain in everyday movement.

Scott set out the task for me – Fix my body so I can move without any pain and get me in the best shape of my life (simple, right!?). The first couple of months we setout to fix all of the imbalance problems by following a custom workout that addressed his body as a whole, looking at every movement with a fine-tuned eye. I figured out what would be causing the pain, then systematically removed those obstacles through movement and looking at where Scott could make some simple changes to daily habits. Once Scott gave me the go-ahead that his body was ready for what-ever we could throw at it, I created a program that would challenge and enthuse him in every session.

In this time he has added yoga classes to his weekly health regimen to aid in keeping balance in his body and further his progress in the studio with me. At his request, his custom program involves a lot of yoga-type moves (as you have seen in the video above) which push the boundaries of his coordination, balance, strength and mental acuity.

As more time passes I am constantly blown away by the enthusiasm Scott brings into every session. Scott's one of those clients that keeps me on my toes as a trainer. I'm constantly researching, planning and experimenting to stay one step ahead of what Scott brings to the table. My own personal goal for Scott is to get him into Cirque Du Soleil, he says he's got a few years till then (I take this as a challenge ;).

I have much more confidence after working out for a year with Cody. My outlook is so much happier and better.
